Important Container Facts

Do you need permission to put a container on your property? Every municipality is different. We recommend checking with your local planning department.
Shipping containers have an excellent ability to stay dry, they are not at risk of fire and they’re better at keeping rodents and insects out.
A 20’ container – should hold the contents of most two to three-bedroom homes, this is the most popular container size we have for rent. If you have a larger home, consider renting two containers.
Shipping container will get hot inside, especially during the summer months. We can modify your container by adding more ventilation and or spray foam insulation on ceiling.
Most of our Furniture rental containers have a foam ceiling.

20’ Container Dimensions

The walls on small shipping containers are usually made with 14 gauge corrugated sheet steel panels. The thickness is 0.075 inches. The floor itself is 28mm thick marine grade hardwood plywood. Plywood is often screwed to the floor and is usually 1-1/8″ thick.

Our new containers have an easy open door (single handle) with a lockbox which protects from bolt cutters and grinder.
